Allergy season is one of the worst

Posted:

If your allergies have been especially bad this season, you are not alone.

Doctors say that because it stayed cold for so long this spring we had dramatic increases in pollen.  That has led to one of the worst allergy seasons in recent memory.

Besides taking basic over the counter meds, doctors say there are other things you can do to help control your allergies.

"Well I think cleaning off or showering after you've been outside makes a big difference, I think also keeping the house closed up with the air conditioning even though it may not be that warm outside," says Dr. James Harris of the South Bend Clinic.

Dr. Harris says if your allergies get so bad that you can't work or sleep, you should go see a professional.
