Three people are dead after a car crash in LaGrange County Friday afternoon.  Saturday Morning the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department released the name of the deceased.  The driver was 21-year-old Dwayne Davis of Parker City, IN.  The front seat passenger was 19-year-old Frederick Petro of Muncie, IN and the backseat passenger was 26-year-old Christopher Whiteman of Muncie, IN.

It happened at 1150 West and U.S. 20 in Newbury Township. The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department said the crash involved a 1998 Dodge four door car and a 2005 Dodge 3500 pickup truck.

Deputies said the car was attempting to pass another car when it hit the truck almost head on. The driver and passengers in the car died at the scene. The driver of the truck was taken to a hospital in Ft. Wayne.

The road was closed from County Road 43 to 1150 West in LaGrange County and drivers were being detoured.
