Clemon sentenced to 45 years in girlfriend's death

Manuel Clemon was sentenced to 45 years in prison, on Monday, after pleading guilty in the death of his girlfriend, Deshone Caradine.

Caradine's body was found in her apartment back in January of 2012.  Caradine died from multiple stab wounds, according to autopsy reports.

According to the documents, investigators found blood spatter in Caradine's apartment on North Eddy Street, that lead them to believe the suspect was also injured in the deadly attack.  Investigators say they found three bloody knives in a bathroom where Caradine was found dead.

Police believe Clemon took Caradine's car and drove it to Chicago.  He is still on the run, but is now charged with felony murder.

Clemon pled guilty to Voluntary Manslaughter on March 15.  He had been scheduled to be sentenced back in April, but it was postponed.
