Lakeshore's run to Regionals in soccer & softball is a family affair

Posted:

It's that time of year when parents are shuffling kids from one game to another.  But most moms and dads have already gone to the awards ceremonies.  Not up in Stevensville.  The awards and championships keep coming. It's a family tradition.

"She's doing everything with you...you do everything together, so it's a great experience to have someone...understand everything you are going through," McKenzie Clem said.
They not only do everything in pairs, but they helped lead Lakeshore to THREE straight District Championships and now they're ready for Regionals...
Lauren Clem says they really believe they can go all the way.
These twins have grown up extremely competitive but no matter what, they always have each other's back.
Lauren says the best way to describe it is "compliment," they are always there to pick each other up and push each other.
Lakeshore opponents don't only get double trouble, but there's a 3rd branch of the family Tree...   Little sister Rachel rocked a grand slam in Lakeshore's run to the District title.  Now the softball team is in the Regionals, too.
McKenzie says they are only one year apart and it's like they are triplets.
Growing up there was always a ball close by.  They played volleyball together AND even won the district title in basketball...  And it only makes sense, the team was coached by their dad, Doug.
Luckily the softball and soccer championships will be on different days.  There's no doubt there will be a lot of cheering for the "triple threat" in the Clem house this week.
