High winds blow the roof off a Mishawaka building

Sometimes people use the expression "it was enough to blow your roof off" when the wind very is strong. Wednesday night's storms were in fact that strong.

In downtown Mishawaka just off of Main St. and Mishawaka Ave. JPD Controls building lost their roof after wind blew through the area according to the Fire Department. The roof flew off into the middle of the Mishawaka Ave. and caused part of the street to be closed for quite sometime.

There was some equipment inside the building that was severely damaged from water.

In addition to that the roof hit the American Legion building just next door. Firefighters says that did not do too much damage and there were no leaks in that building.
