Elkhart Central wins 1st baseball state title


The 2nd ranked Elkhart Central baseball team won it's first ever baseball state championship Saturday, defeating #1 Indianapolis Cathedral 1-0.

Blazers pitcher Tanner Tully hit a solo-home run in the first inning, he would go on to pitch a complete game shutout with 13 strikeouts, including the final out of the game.

This is not only Central's first state title, but the first for the city of Elkhart.

Senior Mike Eppers won the Mental Attitude Award. 

The Blazers finish the season with a 32-1 record.
