Elkhart Central baseball coach lets players shave his head

After a community-wide celebration wrapped up Monday evening, the 2013 State Champion Elkhart Central baseball team had a little bit of an after party for themselves.

The team shaved head coach Steve Stutsman's hair into the token team Mohawk.

Stutsman promised the team he would let them shave his head if they won it all and sure enough he came through.

"Hey I made a promise to them that when we win state, I'd get a Mohawk, so I'm a man of my word," said Stutsman.

Several of the seniors on the team, who won the state title Saturday, had shaved their heads into Mohawks when the playoffs started. Casey Ianigro, who was one of the first players to cut his hair, was chosen by teammates to shave his coach's head.

"He looks great now," said Ianigro. "I made sure he looked nice and pretty"

Coach says he only plans on keeping this style for one night and will get it cut into a normal style as soon as possible.
