Elkhart Jazz Festival introduces smart phone app

Posted:

How can you make the Elkhart Jazz Fest even more fun than it already is?

Well, now it has its own app!

The new Elkhart Jazz Fest app engages people in the festival before and during the event.

You can select your favorite artists before the event, and create a digital schedule.

The app lets you see each artists bio too!

It's complete with a guide of the event locations, a digital ticket booth, and even a city guide to jazz related events.

Co-chair, David Smith had one specific goal in mind. He says that they "recognize that people are acquiring information differently and we wanted to respond to that. we also know that the future of the jazz festival is determined by the audience and engaging a younger demographic."

The new app is free and is compatible with all smart phones. You can search for it in your app store as "Elkhart Jazz Fest".

Set-up is underway right now for the fest. It starts on Thursday and lasts until Sunday.

This year there will be a Mardi Gras parade to kick off the festival! The parade is on Friday at 5, starting at Waterfall Drive. It's open to all ages!
