"MDA Show of Strength" no longer a local production

Posted:

A programming note now.  After more than three decades, FOX28 will no longer broadcast the MDA Labor Day show.

MDA leadership decided to work on a national level with another television network.  The "Show of Strength" will no longer be a local production.  Local stations and local people will not be on the show.

We are disappointed with their decision.  From the days of the Jerry Lewis Telethon to more recent "Show of Strength," WSJV and MDA made a heck of a team.  We've gotten to know families, helped hundreds of kids, and made some very special and wonderful friends.

We are very proud of our 37-year association with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and we sincerely appreciate your support through the years.

The folks at the MDA state offices reached out to us, because they don't want to lose the relationship we've built, either.  We are looking for ways to continue to support MDA and all our local families, and we sincerely wish them all the best.
