Syracuse man arrested for manufacturing meth

Warsaw Police received information on Tuesday regarding a man who was sleeping on a bench inside a local store for about 6 hours.

Contact was made with the man-- Gary Steven Kirkwood of Syracuse-- who was found to be in possession of items associated with making methamphetamine.

During the search of Kirkwood's moped, several other meth precursors were located as well as an HCL generator and two "one pot" methamphetamine labs.

The Warsaw Police Department Narcotics Team and the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team assisted with the methamphetamine lab disposal.

Kirkwood was arrested and taken to the Kosciusko County Jail on an active parole warrant as well as charges of possession of precursors and manufacturing methamphetamine.
