Blotter: Rick Bontrager, 27 yoa of 411 Maple Court in Goshen, was arrested at 2126 hours for operating while intoxicated in the
1500 block of Lincolnway East in Goshen. Bontrager had BAC of .13%. Bontrager was also arrested for driving while license
suspened-prior.

Nature of Call: IMPERSONATING PUBLIC SERVANT
Blotter: Officers were regarding a police impersonator. The victims reported they pulled into the Meijer gas station when they
heard a siren and saw a vehicle with blue flashing lights approaching. The driver of that vehicle was described as driving a
Goldish/green colored Chevrolet pick-up, had black grill guard/push bar on front, blue flashing light inside grill w/siren, two black
racing stripes on top hood, roof, and back tailgate. The witnesses further stated that there were graffiti style stickers all over rear
window. The driver of that vehicle identified himself as an undercover police officer and when asked to see his identification , the
suspect fled the area. Officers were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. The Goshen Police Department would like to remind
residents that all official police vehicles are installed with RED AND BLUE lights and officers in the State of Indiana are required
by law(IC 9-30-2-2) to be in uniform or in a marked squad in order to make a traffic stop . Do not hesitate to call 9-1-1 if the
situation "feels" wrong. The dispatchers can also verify the officer's identity.
