Two hurt in collision on Simonton Lake

Two people were hurt, one seriously, after a collision on Simonton Lake in Elkhart County.

Indiana Conservation officers say the accident happened around 8:50p.m. Wednesday. Officers say two personal watercraft were riding in circles, jumping each other's wakes, when they collided head-on.

24-year-old Aaron Wisniewski of Lincoln, Nebraska was a passenger on one of the watercraft. He suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital. The driver of the watercraft, 25-year-old Anthony Simons of Osceola, was not hurt.

The driver of the other watercraft, 27-year-old Adam Wisniewski of Mullen, Nebraska, suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at an Elkhart hospital.

Conservation officers are still investing the crash and say criminal charges are pending.
