Code Enforcement vehicle shot at in South Bend

South Bend Police are asking for your help finding the person who shot at a city vehicle.

Captain Phil Trent says a code enforcement pickup truck and car were driving near the intersection of Orange and Meade Street around 4:45pm Monday when drivers in both vehicles heard two "pops."

Trent says it wasn't until the drivers arrived at their destination that they saw what appeared to be a bullet hole in the code enforcement car.

An officer went back to the area where the drivers heard the noise and found a shell casing.

Trent says at this time there are no witnesses and neither driver saw anything.

Anyone with information is asked to call the South Bend Police Department at 574-235-9201.
