Silver Hawks looking to sell naming rights to The Cove

Millions of dollars have been spent re-inventing Coveleski Stadium.  Now the team is looking to bring even more money by selling the naming rights to the facility.

In the future when you talk about Coveleski Stadium you may be saying a longer name.  Silver Hawks President Joe Hart said, "It'd be xyz company at the Cove."

The team is looking for someone to buy the naming rights for the facility.  "We're looking for a partner that wants to be involved in the Cove and believes in the same values that we do," said Hart.

And that new partner would also bring in new money.  "It gives us the opportunity to have additional money to keep re-investing back into the facility," said Hart.

For things like a three story party tower, more physical improvements, and new promotions.

Silver Hawks fans like the idea.  Judy Morgan said, "I think it's a good idea if it helps to improve so people can come in and enjoy."  And Mike Beam said, "think that it's a plus for South Bend draw more people to the game."

While no one had a specific company name they'd like to see all over the Cove, they would prefer one from Michiana.  Morgan said, "think a local company would be a great thing cause local companies give to their area."

And fans definitely agree on what kind of company they don't want to buy the naming rights.  "I would be against a beer company," said Beam.  And Morgan said, "Nothing with alcohol or anything like that.  Better for a family atmosphere."

The team hopes to have the new name finalized by the end of this year.
