UPDATE: Man shot on South Bend's south side improving

A 27-year-old South Bend man was shot on the south side of the city.  It happened just after 1:30am Friday morning on S. High St. at the Miami Hills apartments.

Police say the man was shot one time in the upper body.  He was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.  Police say the victim has regained consciousness and was stable as of 3:00pm Friday afternoon.

Police have not made any arrests. They are looking for two black men in their late teens or early 20's.

    UPDATE: Dowagiac Police report missing teenager Daven Lamont Brown has been located by his family and is unharmed. 
    Police say the family noticed "an increase in conversation" on social media after news reports came out that Brown was missing. They say those conversations led to information on where Brown might be, and he was found by family. Brown told police he was with friends the whole time he was reported missing and neglected to tell his family where he was.
