UPDATE: Police identify man shot in South Bend Friday night

We now know the name of the man shot in South Bend last night.  Police say 20-year-old Markeese Hunter was shot near Lindsay and Sherman.  Initially police reported two different shootings.  One at Lincolnway and Sherman and another one in the 1500 block of N Fremont.

But now police tell us just one shooting happened near Lindsay and Sherman.  The N Fremont location is where they found the shooting victim.
We're told Hunter is expected to survive.

Police have not arrested anyone but if you have any information about the shooting you're asked to call crime stoppers.  You can stay anonymous.

Police say it is too soon to tell if this shooting is connected to the recent violence in South Bend.
