Man arrested after leading police on 14-minute chase

Indiana State Police arrested a 53-year-old man who they say is responsible for leading troopers on a chase from Rolling Prairie to South Bend Tuesday morning.

It started near County Road 450 East, which is also known as Prairie Street where troopers say the man did not pull over for a routine traffic stop.

The chase reached speeds of only 60 miles per hour and ended just east of Mayflower Road on Western Avenue in South Bend 14 minutes later. St. Joseph County police put an end to the chase using stop sticks.

No word on what charges the man could be facing.
