Silver Hawks playoff tickets are selling fast

Posted:

It's a good time to be a Silver Hawks fan. The 1st Half Midwest League CHampions have a spot in the 2013 playoffs. Thursday, tickets went on sale and eager fans are grabbing them fast.

The box office manager, Devon Hastings, says they went on sale at 10 am, but she was turning away callers and eager fans an hour earlier. "We've had a significant amount of people purchasing tickets for the playoffs. We are seeing a lot more action surprisingly than I think they've seen in the past here."

She says she thinks the success is because people are still excited about the changes made to the stadium and since football hasn't started yet, fans are remaining focused on the baseball field. Whatever the reason, she says it's an exciting year to be in the box office. "This is going to be a lot bigger and better than we've seen in the past."

Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office from 10-5. They are also available online at www.silverhawks.com or you can call 574-235-9988.
