Dairy Queen's sweet treats to give back to sick kids

There's a great way to help kids with a pretty sweet treat Thursday. Thursday is Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen.

When you walk in and buy your favorite blizzard Dairy Queen will donate $1 for each blizzard to Riley Hospital. Last year, Dairy Queen locations in Indiana raised $134,566 for Riley.

Frick's Dairy Queen, Incorporated has been giving back to the community with fundraisers like this since they bought the store back in 1977. Brian Frick says it just feels great to give back.

Brian Frick, Owner of Frick's Dairy Queen Inc. said, "To help sick kids.  I mean there's nothing better you can do with your time.  I have young children and it's very important to me that they are healthy.  We've been very fortunate in our family but not every family has that opportunity to have a kid that's not sick."

Miracle Treat Day is only Thursday, August 8th. Since 1984, Dairy Queen has raised more than $90 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
