Rochester fireworks store fire deemed arson


Authorities have ruled the fire at a fireworks store in Rochester an arson, and they want your help catching the culprits.

Windy City Fireworks caught fire on the night of July 17.  Fulton County Sheriff Walker Conley says the first unit on the scene was just two minutes away when the fire got called in, but by the time that unit arrived the place was fully engulfed in flames.

Windy City Fireworks is made up of two connected buildings, totaling 16,000 square feet. Inside the building were not only fireworks, but antiques and "flea market items."

Authorities are offering a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the arsonists.  If you have information on the case, you are asked to call the Indiana Arson Hotline 1-800-382-4628.
