Power meters available for check-out at MPH Public Libraries

Have you ever wondered how much power your dryer is using? What about that lamp that you always forget to turn off? The Mishawaka-Penn-Harris-Madison public libraries can help you answer those questions.

The libraries have partnered with Indiana Michigan Power/American Electric Power to make their Kill-A-Watt EZ Meters available for check-out.

These devices can be plugged into your wall to give you an idea of where you might be able to save money on your next electric bill.

"It plugs into the wall socket and then you plug in your appliance," said Marsha Loyer, Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Libraries. "Do some magic programming, it doesn't take much and within 24 hours you will know how much power you have used."

The Kill-A-Watt's are available to check-out for one week and can be found at all M-P-H Public Libraries.
