Women prep for weekend Habitat for Humanity build

Posted:

The Habitat for Humanity Women's Build team is ready to go for this weekend. They'll be putting together about forty walls tomorrow.

It takes about ten to twenty minutes to put together a wall, depending on how well the women in the group work together. Habitat has blocked off a three hour shift, but organizers say it could take less time.

The walls will go up for the house next weekend.

Montana Knapp, Volunteer Care Director for Habitat for Humanity said, "This is good for everybody. It's especially good for our partner family. But it's also good for the volunteers, that they can get out in their community, interact with volunteers, partner families and members of our women build committee."

If you want to get involved you're out of luck for tomorrow, the shift is full. But, there is good news. There are two more dates to help put the house together.
