A retired teacher in northern Indiana woman is racking up hours as a volunteer at the St. Joseph County Public Library.
Seventy-seven-year-old Maude Klingaman has put in more than 7,100 volunteer hours at the library since 1992. That's the equivalent of nearly 3.5 hours of full-time work.
Supervisor Matt King tells the South Bend Tribune that Klingaman is a "super volunteer" and knows how to do everything.
Klingman says her favorite assignment has been the children's department. She's currently working in the magazine section.
She says being involved at the library keeps her healthy and happy. She plans to continue volunteering as long as she can.
