Police arrested three people after an early Tuesday break-in at a hotel near Big Barbee Lake.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department says their deputies responded to the Barbee Hotel on North Barbee Road around 1:55 a.m. Tuesday after a report of a possible burglary in progress. When they arrived, officers found a window air conditioning unit had been removed to gain access to the building. Witnesses told police several people had been seen leaving the area with what appeared to be bottles.

Deputies asked for help from the Warsaw Police Department K-9 unit. The canine led officers to a near-by home. Officers say the person who answered the door refused to allow officers in to search, so they obtained a search warrant. Once inside, police say they found two people who matched the description of those wanted in the burglary, along with finding potential evidence.

Police arrested 21-year-old Sara Cummins of Bloomington and 20-year-old Tommy Coonan of Fort Wayne on preliminary charges of felony Burglary to a Business/Structure. They also arrested 52-year-old Daniel Motherwell of Fort Wayne on a preliminary charge of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor due to the under-aged party at the home.

Bond for Cummins and Coonan were set at $5000, Motherwell's bond was set at $500.
