Jail guard pleads guilty to official misconduct, trafficking with an inmate

A man has accused of using an inmate's debit card to withdraw cash has pleaded guilty to charges of Trafficking with an Inmate and Official Misconduct.

Trevor Reynolds was accused of taking the card while working as a correction officer at the St. Joseph County Jail in March. At the time, police say Reynolds claimed he didn't steal the card, but bought it from an inmate.

As part of a plea agreement, two counts of Theft and another Official Misconduct count were dismissed.

Reynolds is scheduled to be sentenced September 25.
