Goshen man sentenced for attempted murder

A Goshen man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for attempted murder in Marshall County.

Police say that in January of this year 22-year-old Chase Anglemyer broke into an ex-girlfriends home and abducted her. He is accused of then dragging her to another home, hitting her with a screwdriver then shaving her head while she was semi-conscious. Police say he they wrapped an electrical cord around her neck and choked her until she became unconscious.

Anglemyer had been convicted in October of 2012 in Pike County for domestic battery on the same victim.

Judge Robert Bowen sentenced Anglemyer to the term of imprisonment of 30 years with 5 suspended as agreed to by the Chief Deputy Prosecutor and defense counsel.
