Pet Fest shines spotlight on shelter animals

Have you heard of doga?

It's doggie yoga and they were doing exactly that Saturday at the Elkhart County Humane Society's Pet Fest.

You could adopt a new pet or bring your own!

The event featured games, vendors and more.

There was also a special memorial prayer for homeless animals and the dog killed by a firework in July.

Stephanie Krol/Humane Society Board President: "It's still very hard and raw for the taff and volunteers to see such needless cruelty and this staff see's that really everyday there's so many stories," says Humane Society Board President, Stephanie Krol.

FOX28's Tom Powell was the emcee of the event.

He brought his dog, "Buddy."
