UPDATE: South Bend bank robbery suspect caught


A woman who South Bend Police say robbed the 1st Source Bank on South Michigan street around 3 this afternoon has been caught.

Police caught the woman a short distance from the bank at a home that they believe belongs to a friend or acquaintance of the woman. She was wearing camouflage clothing from head to toe when she was caught.

Police brought her back to the bank, then took her to police headquarters for questioning.

Police tell us that they found the woman with the help of GPS. All of the money taken in the robbery was recovered.

South Bend police are looking for a suspect who they say robbed the 1st Source Bank at 2323 South Michigan street this afternoon.

Police say the suspect is a possibly a woman wearing camouflage clothing. She fled the scene, going south after the robbery.
