ND students start moving in

Posted:

It was a big day for many students at Notre Dame.  Freshman were allowed to move in to their dorms this morning.

"I'm moving into Keogh Hall at Notre Dame for my first year of studies," says John Fox a freshman.

Cars were lined up early as far as the eye could see. Once they got through that jam they had to find their assigned dorm and line up again.

"This is down to a science, they have got it planned and organized, its great, my other students colleges it was great but we had to kind of just manage on our own and here they've got everything lined up," says Patty Infantine a parent.

"Its a little bittersweet because you have to say goodbye at the end of the weekend, but they get to come home now and again," says Infantine.

This weekend, sophomores, juniors and seniors get to move in.  School officials are warning drivers that you may want to avoid some of the roads near campus over the next couple days.

They expect traffic to be backed up with Sunday being the busiest day.
