UPDATE: Capital Avenue restrictions postponed

Posted:

Restrictions on Capital Avenue in Mishawaka and Granger have been postponed until the day after Labor day.

An INDOT spokesman tells FOX28 that the project to patch the road is on hold until Tuesday, September 3rd. No word yet on if the finishing date will also be delayed.

Another road construction project begins in St. Joseph County on Monday. And this one will slow down traffic on Capital Avenue.

Crews will be patching a stretch between Douglas Road and the Indiana Toll Road. They'll start on the northbound lanes before wrapping around and getting the southbound lanes.

The project is schedule to wrap up by September 13. During that time INDOT says at least one lane will be open in each direction.

Stick with FOX28 and FOX28.com for updates on all the road projects that will affect your commute.
