Zombie walk coming to South Bend this weekend

Posted:

Downtown South Bend will soon be taken over by zombies.  Saturday is the sixth annual South Bend Zombie Walk to help raise money and food for the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.

The family friendly event features live bands, a costume contest, illusionists doing magic shows, professional wrestling, and the actual zombie walk.  People can come prepainted or be transformed into a zombie on site.

Zombie Walk Organizer, Megahn Bufford says it is a really fun way to help out a good cause.  "I got into it seven years ago," Megahn said, "and I just instantly fell in love and it's just fun to transform somebody into the undead."

The event goes from noon until 9:00pm and admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item.
