Elkhart Police are investigating a double murder.  It happened at a store in the 400 Block of Middlebury Street Thursday morning.

Police identify the victims as 55-year-old Jagtar Bhatti and 20-year-old Pawan Singh.

Family and friends say they are waiting to learn more details about what happened from police.  In the meantime they remember the victims as "generous people."

"Everyone knew how good they were," said Lori Sally.  Sally moved to the area about two years ago.  "They were so nice.  I didn't have any friends in the area and they just took me in like family," she says.

Sally says Singh was like a nephew.  "He called me auntie," she says.  "I'd give him life advice, advice on girls and advice on driving."
