UPDATE: Police searching for suspect in Benton Township shooting

Benton Township Police say they are still looking for the suspect in a Thursday shooting.

Police say it happened at a home in the 1200 block of Parkway Drive around 11:50 am. Police say officers found 26-year-old Johnmonte' Randle in the front yard of a home with gunshot wounds to his legs.

Police say Randle and 20-year-old Mario Cummings got into an altercation that ended with Cummings firing two shots through the front door of the home, hitting Randle. Police say Cummings left the home in a gold car before officers arrived. Anyone with information about where he is should call Benton Township Police Detectives at 269-926-8221 Ext. 147.

Randle was transported to a local hospital. Police say the injuries to his legs are not life-threatening.
