Indiana Black Expo educating kids and keeping them fit

Posted:

Kids were getting active and getting educated Saturday at the Lasalle Branch Library in South Bend.

It was a dual event put on by the Indiana Black Expo.

There was the Circle City Classic Football and Cheerleading Clinic to get kids moving.

The event was also a kick off to a new Literacy Program that included book give aways.

"It's here to promote literacy.  Help kids to read a little more often and get better grades in school," says Murray Miller with the Indiana Black Expo.

As part of the new literacy program, the Indiana Black Expo says they'll be putting children's books all over South Bend in places like laundromats.
