Notre Dame hopes momentum from Purdue win carries over to MSU game

Notre Dame is feeling pretty lucky to have not lost this past Saturday and hopes to have a better first three quarters than they did against Purdue.

The Irish needed a big forth quarter in order to get a win at Ross-Ade Stadium. Tommy Rees and DaVaris Daniels connected for two Notre Dame touchdowns and Bennett Jackson intercepted Purdue's Rob Henry for another Irish touchdown in the last quarter.

Brian Kelly is hoping his team can use the momentum they started in West Lafayette and carry that into their game against Michigan State this weekend.

"It's really big to win on the road," said Kelly. "[The players] are very excited about the win and now they get to come back home and get ready for Michigan State. It doesn't get any easier, but they're excited and they should be. They worked really hard for this win."

The game against the Spartans kicks-off at Notre Dame Stadium this Saturday at 3:30pm.
