Convicted killer to serve 50 year in prison

A 17-year-old will spend 50 years in prison after drug deal led to a deadly shooting.  Rayterrion Wheeler was sentenced to 60 years in prison, with 10 years suspended, and 10 years probation. 

Wheeler was convicted of Murder back in June 2013.  St. Joseph County Metro Homicide says 51 year old Mack Caldwell was killed inside a South Bend home on the 1,000 block of Bowman Street in November of last year.

Another teen involved in the shooting, Herbert Brown III, already pled guilty to Assisting a Criminal.  He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 2.
