Winamac girl will be allowed to play football

A girl who was told she wouldn't be able to play football with the boys will be allowed to play.

The 12-year-old girl's family and the ACLU had filed a lawsuit against Eastern Pulaski School Corporation to allow her to play.

Eastern Pulaski Superintendent Dan Foster says in an email that attorneys allowed him to meet with the parents without lawyers present, a meeting Foster says went very well. "Accommodations have been made for our first female to play football at Eastern Pulaski/Winamac," said Foster in the email.

As a result, the lawsuit has been dropped.
