Of course the Michigan State football team plays Notre Dame on Saturday, but on Friday, a different group from Michigan State got to show off in Michiana.

The Michigan State University Marching Band stopped by Edwardsburg High School to perform their marching show for hundreds of area students

The Spartan Marching band also taught a clinic for middle and high school band members.

"Our kids that are students here, they can look at them and say 'that could be me someday,'" says principal of Edwardsburg High School, Jeff Leslie. "Whether it's Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame or Purdue-- some of those great bands we have around here."

A few members of the Michigan State Marching band are alumni of Edwardsburg, Dowagiac and other Cass County schools.
