Police looking for Berrien Springs bank robbery suspect

Some local schools were put on lock down this afternoon after a Berrien Springs bank robbery in the area.

Just after 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, a man robbed Honor Credit Union on M139. No weapon was seen, but the suspect got away with an undetermined amount of money. No one was injured in the robbery.

Andrews University and other schools in the area were put on lock down because of the incident.

Police say the suspect had his face covered and left the bank on foot. Police say he is a 40-50 year-old man who was wearing a dark colored shirt and a hat.
