Mishawaka Star Rohrer to Have Surgery

Mishawaka Junior Anna Rohrer will have her broken foot operated on Friday morning.  The defending Indiana State and National Champ had to stop running earlier this season after it was discovered she had a fracture.  Doctors originally put her in a boot to stabilize the foot and she has been going to races to watch on crutches.   Mishawaka Coach Chris Kowalewski confirmed to FOX 28 Sports Director Dean Huppert Thursday that Rohrer met with a foot specialist in Indianapolis Tuesday and he recommended surgery to prevent another break.  Rohrer had to sit out her freshman year with a similar injury on the other foot.

If all goes well, Anna should be able to run sometime in November.
