Kelly, Irish disappointed, but also not concerned about BCS chances

The Fighting Irish are still scratching their heads about their game against Oklahoma.

Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly says after to the Sooners 35-21 Saturday, any hopes the Irish had at making it back to the National Championship are gone.

In his Sunday afternoon teleconference Coach Kelly was asked if his team was worried about the team's BCS opportunities. He said it's disappointing, but they just have to try and continue to improve for this year.

"One Bowl game or one game does not make it for these guy," said Kelly. "They are more focused and we are more focused on being better as a football team and playing better week to week than the one game that we get at the end of the season. We know it can't be a National Championship, and we are disappointed that that's the case. But to say, hey, there's nothing to play for what, for one game in Florida? What we are more interested in as a group and that's why we play this game, is as a team, to play better, to be more consistent."

Notre Dame will look to pick up their forth win of this season Saturday against Arizona State in their Shamrock Series game in Dallas.
