UPDATE: Anthony "Bones" Jefferson faces additional charges

Posted: Updated:

Updated 10/2/2013 -- The State of Indiana filed an amended Affidavit against suspect Anthony "Bones" Jefferson Wednesday.  Jefferson is accused of killing one man and injuring another during a shooting Monday.

New information released Wednesday reveals Jefferson is a suspect in additional crimes. He's now facing Robbery and Confinement charges as well as murder and attempted murder.

Prosecutors say Jefferson "allegedly forced a woman to withdraw $200 from an ATM machine on September 29, 2013, as she was checking her banking balance."  We're told the ATM was located in the 5600 Block of North Main Street in Mishawaka.  Jefferson is accused of "forcing the woman to drive him to another location, at which point he allegedly took her cell phone."

Jefferson is also accused of a 7-11 robbery in South Bend.  Prosecutors say "on September 30, 2013, Jefferson is alleged to have approached a cashier at the 7-11 Store located on the corner of Logan and Jefferson in South Bend, IN. Then Jefferson allegedly threw coffee in the cashier's face, at which point Jefferson allegedly asked her to open the registers, taking US currency and cigarettes"

10/1/2013 -- Police have named a suspect in the double shooting of two people on South Bend's west side that led to the death of one person and the injury of another.

Jason Reid, 34, from Indianapolis was shot and killed early Monday morning on the 1800 block of West Fassnacht Ave.  Police say Tyreece Walker, 33, was also shot multiple times.  Walker was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Police say the shooting was not gang related, and was not related to any other shootings.  "This wasn't some kind of random home invasion. This was an incident that occurred within the house itself. And all parties had been in the house for an extended period of time," said Lt. David Wells with the South Bend Police Department.

Police are looking for Anthony "Bones" Jefferson on charges of murder and attempted murder. Jefferson is a 43-year-old black male from Illinois.  He is 6'8" and 300lbs.

Jefferson was last seen driving a white 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse with Illinois license plate L228494.

If you see Jefferson, police say stay away and call them.  Jefferson should be considered armed and dangerous.

Correction: Police gave the wrong license plate for the suspect vehicle originally.  That license plate number has been corrected.
