Help available for enrolling in the Health Insurance Marketplaces

Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center is offering Health Insurance Services in Mishawaka and Plymouth to help members of the community understand the health insurance options available to them, now that enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace has begun.

The Affordable Care Act requires everyone legally living in the U.S. to have health insurance beginning January 1, 2014 or pay a penalty. It also gives millions of individuals with too little or no insurance access to health plans at different cost levels.

Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center President and CEO, Albert Gutierrez says people should understands the options that are available to them.  "They should make themselves open to receiving a subsidy if they are eligible," Gutierrez said, "there are many Americans as a result of the act who will be spending less on their insurance with federal participation."

Anyone with questions are welcome to visit one of the centers. Schedule an appointment today by calling 855-900-0024. Learn more at
