UPDATE: One man injured after train crash

One man is injured after a train crash that happened Sunday night.

It all went down around 10:15 on South Bend's west side, on County Club Road, just south of Edison Road.

St. Joseph County dispatchers tell us they're not sure how badly a driver was hurt after a train hit his car. But they do say he managed to walk away from the crash.

In fact, police found the driver at home after finding the car unoccupied after the accident. Lieutenant Blank of the St. Joseph County Police Department says alcohol was likely involved.

We're told the collision should not cause any delays for morning drives. Railroad officials told officials early Monday morning they were in the final stages of their clean up efforts.

As we learn more about this crash we'll fill you in both on air and online at FOX28.com.
