Indiana attorney general talks ACA lawsuit

The State of Indiana is joining with 15 school districts - including John Glenn here in Michiana - in a lawsuit over how the Affordable Care Act could impact part-time workers.

We had a chance to catch up with Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller - who filled the suit - during a stop he made in Elkhart today.

The state and districts don't think the I-R-S should be allowed to fine governments who don't meet the "employer mandate."

That's part of the act that defines full-time as working 30 hours a week, not the 37-and-a-half used by the state as full time.

Zoeller says, "I think as their attorney I want to ask the courts whether the IRS has the authority to require us to change the way our schools and our state government does business."

Zoeller is hoping to get an answer by the end of next year.
