A man convicted of killing a Niles couple will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Keith Lintz was sentenced Friday morning for the murders of John and Carolyn Tarwacki. Lintz was convicted in September.

The Tarwackis were found dead in their Niles home in February 2010. Police say the couple had been shot then stabbed. Lintz was arrested and charged with their murders in October of 2012.

During the trial, prosecutors told the jury Lintz was likely in a drug-fueled rage and needed money when he broke into the Tarwacki's home.

Family members of the Tarwackis spoke at the sentencing, expressing their grief and their satisfaction with the sentence.
