UPDATE: One man injured in overnight South Bend fire

One man was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after a fire on South Bend's southeast side.

The South Bend Fire Department tells FOX28 the fire broke out in an upper level bedroom of a home on the 1600 block of South Leer Street around 11:51 Tuesday night.

There is no word at this time on how badly that man was hurt, but he was taken to an area hospital for burn treatments.  Two other people were in the home at the time of the fire, but they were able to get out safely.  Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
