Thousands of ready-to-eat products recalled across country

Roughly 109,000 case of refrigerated ready-to-eat products have been recalled across multiple states because of a possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

No infections have been reported yet, but the FDA says Listeria can cause high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.  It can also lead to miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.

The products were distributed by Reser's Fine Foods of Beaverton, Oregon to several states, including Indiana and Michigan, as well as Canada.  The packages will be marked with a Use-by-Date or Best By Date and followed by a plant identifier code of 20.

For a complete list of products included in the recall, go to the FDA.qov website by clicking here.
