Pickup truck hits car then runs into church

A pickup truck crashed into a church this afternoon after rear ending another vehicle.  It all happened near the intersection of Apple Rd and McKinley.  Police said both vehicles were heading east bound when the car tried to turn north on Apple.

That's when the pick up truck rear ended it then kept going into the Christ's Church on McKinley.  "There's I guess considerable damage to a restroom just inside the building and to a staircase that's inside the church," said Sgt. William Redman.

Police said the driver of the pickup truck smelled like alcohol and failed field sobriety tests.

The driver of the vehicle he rear ended is a teenager with a learners permit.  Her mom and two other teen passengers were in the car but they all have non-life-threatening injuries.
