South Bend police piecing together shooting victims' stories

South Bend police are trying to piece together the stories from three shooting victims.

Police got a call about a shooting at the gas station on the corner of Bertrand and Olive early Sunday morning.

They found a 25-year-old who was shot in the head, but is expected to be ok.

Police then got another call a few minutes later a short distance away in the 2500 block of Kenwood.

A homeowner said a man with a gunshot wound was on her porch.

He too is 25 years-old and expected to be ok.

Then, police spotted and followed a speeding van that ended up at Memorial hospital with a third shooting victim who is also 25 years-old.

Police say the men are not being cooperative and gave conflicting stories.

Officers are trying to figure out just what happened and whether the shooting victims may also be suspects.

Call Crime Stoppers if you have any information at 288-STOP.
